Rob Brown, an Iraq war veteran whose right leg was amputated below the knee less than a year ago, has a slightly different agenda. The 26-year-old American, who'll compete Saturday for a medal in the 200-metre K-1 Paddleability race for athletes with physical disabilities, climbed into a kayak for the first time seven months after enemy gunfire on a battleground in western Iraq dealt his childhood aspirations an irreparable blow. click here to view
