Preparing for a different war: (THE INTELLIGENCER, NJ)

Welcome to Camp Philadelphia Stand Down, where for three days once a year, homeless veterans from the Philadelphia area have a comfortable place to sleep, three meals, health care and employment assistance, as well as other comforts people take for granted, like a hot shower and a haircut. This year organizers are preparing for as many as 500 veterans to spend the weekend starting at 7:30 a.m. today, when the camp opens. click here to view
