Long-awaited veterans court almost here: (NORTH COUNTY TIMES, SDGO)

The county is creating a voluntary program for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma or substance abuse issues who run afoul of the law. San Diego attorney Judith A. Litzenberger, who has co-chaired a legal task force to set up such a court since 2007, said the Veterans Treatment Court should see its first cases within six months.
