Wurst Ride
The Wurst Ride, an event of the Austin5 Foundation, is a bicycle ride originating in southeast Austin and finishing in New Braunfels, Texas. Scheduled to coincide with Wurstfest in New Braunfels, in the late fall of each year, the Wurst Ride offers a scenic and pleasantly cool ride for all levels of riders, ending in a sausage and beer fest at the end of the ride. In 2008, the Bob Woodruff Foundation was selected to be the beneficiary of this event. The very successful event raised $20,000 for the Foundation in support of injured service members and their families. Thank you Wurst Ride and the Austin5 Foundation for your support and dedication to our nation’s heroes!!

G.I. Theta Chi
Special thanks to the Iota Theta Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity at the University of Central Florida for raising money for the Bob Woodruff Foundation during their annual fundraising drive to “Support the Troops”. The chapter recently discovered that Bob Woodruff was a Theta Chi during his years at Colgate University, and wanted to do something to support a fellow brother. G.I. Theta Chi is a week of activities for both Greek and Non-Greek organizations aimed at raising money for a worthy cause. This year, G.I. Theta Chi raised $2,500 for the Foundation. BWF thanks all the participants of G.I. Theta Chi for “Supporting the Troops.” It’s not just a slogan, it’s an action. We thank the Theta Chi brothers for their action.
