Mrs. Woodruff; Thank You for your investment in TBIs. I was the Team Leader for ABC News' Security in New Orleans '05 and handled Bob's personal security on several occasions while he, covered Katrina.
What I never had any reason to discuss with him was that I had suffered a TBI myself in 2000.
It continues to be a major battle in my life. Not so much that any particular deficit complicates it, but the stigma of a "head injury" and words like "rehab" have been so very damaging to my career.
I apologize that it has taken so long for me to reach out on this, but you and Bob have taken this head-on and worked to bring people's attention to this "invisible injury" and I guess it's worth the risk.
