To the founder of this 501C-3,
Outstanding! I have jsut written a letter to my Primary Care doctor, who is also, the Chief of Staff, at the George Whalen VA MedicaL Center here in Salt Lake City Utah. My story is to complex, and sensitive to explain in this formatt. Just know this, The VA funding is a terrible state at present. I have been a patient, since I was 21 years old. I was considered the worst case of PTSD diagnosed, up until about 1998. I have done all the work, the VA phycologist and M.S.W.s have ask me to do, and I am basically a sucess story. I have talked to the last Iraqi Veteran, who has attempeted suicide, I am voulunteering at our regional level. and have contacted VA National Headquarters as well. You see, I am a 100% P & T Service Connected disbled combat Vietnam Veteran, plus I draw Social Security Disability Insuance, (SSDI) I have worked in four area of our hospital, ad volunteered for the Winter Sports Clinic i Snowmass, CO. I wrote a 501C3 for my supervisor, while I was being trained as a Aqua Therapist, at our Pool and Gym, and he helped me certify for Scuba, as our VA was the only VA out of 700 hospitals with a Scuba program, that was becuse of Mr. Garlocks fame, in inventing the first prostetic leg for Scuba and water. I want to help these returning vets, so I am looing for resouces, on how I can help. They respect me, and listen to me, and stop fighting the system so hard, like all the Vietnam Vets did. My big thing was you are not a Veteran! How coulld you know what I have been through! That ws a hard one for me. Anyway great job, contact me if you can think of a way, I could be a assett to your orgnization, Sincerely, Richard M. Flint Retired Medically USN 1970-1975 hawkee3489@comcast.net
