Evan Mettie 25 Specialist United States Army
Selah, WA United States
Evan was injured 01-01-06 in Iraq. He received shrapnel to the left side of brain from a suicide car bomb. After 3 long years in hospitals, rehabs, nursing homes Evan is home, surrounded by loving and determined family. We never took "no" for an answer about his recovery and still don't. Evan continues to make improvements, small but they are there. Without the effort and help of Wounded Warrior Project, Bob & Lee Woodruff, Evan's story would have ended 3 years ago. We applaud the continued fight for legislation changes for our Wounded Warriors. Thank You, Denise Mettie www.caringbridge.org.visit/evanmettie

Hello Denise -- just read your letter thru Quadriciser. I am impressed and want to get one for my son who is 50 years old with both a TBI and an anoxic brain injury. We are on www.carepages.com/visit/joehamilton. Please visit our page, get my phone number, if you will, and call me to discuss this therapy and the costs involved. We have Medicare/Medicaid/Ohio Waiver and don't know if this can be covered. Hope all is well with you and Evan. I know the fear you felt while he was in Iraq. My other son, Ron, also spent time there in the Gulf War. I was filled with fear. Thanx. Jean
