  Mr. Woodruff, I have to say thank your for your book. My husband was hit by a roadside 1aug07 and as a result he is a BK amputee on his left side. We have been at Walter Reed since then until recently I came back to Michigan because the PTSD is finally coming about and he isn’t dealing with it well and is resenting the people that matter the most to him. As a way for me to relate to anybody being away from the hospital, I read your book. I appreciated so much from your wife’s perspective because I could relate to a lot of things. I am thankful my husband is alive but the war here in the states just started. Everyone paid attention to the physical needs of his injuries and have left out the mental issues and now nothing is being done because my husband thinks he is okay and will just adapt to it.
