I am a military member on the IRR since I gave birth to my daughter. I was in a car accident that was not my fault and it caused a severe TBI in my hometown. Recovery is possible but long, oh so long, and hard times. My husband is still on active duty and deploys now and then. I am able to manage myself and children with family help during those times. This country needs to build support for all of us that suffer TBIs to be able to live and enjoy life again. We don't survive all of this process to just do nothing or be depressed. It is not worth it if that is the goal. Contact the BIAA in your state for guidance or support it is a wonderful organization. They have a lot of resources. Well, best wishes to all those with the injury or loves someone who suffered it too. We all become survivors from this challenge. Thanks for reading, I am 3 years out and still not working, and likely won't. God bless.
