    Traumatic Brain Injury

Please keep in mind that I have never been in the military but, understand the barriers, hurdles, and support systems (or lack thereof) for those with TBI. You see my TBI injury was auto related and my life was in great jeopardy.

As my medical surgen calls me, "the miracle man" because I was not expected to survive and if I did my parents would have to feed me through a straw the rest of my life. But, here I am.

This past May 7 I graduated from college with 3 degrees, yes that's right and count them, THREE degrees. A B.A. in Sociology, a B.S. in Social Work, and an A.A. in Human Services w/ a Specialization in Social Services. All of this education has a significant purpose and that is to be able to extend a hand of assisting those with TBI.

My search for employment has just began but, with faith, perseverance, determination and knowledge I will be able to use my education, talent, knowledge, skills, and experience to help others reach their potential in what ever they choose to aspire to.

After all, life's not about me but, rather what I can do for others.

My hats off to all of those who have served this great nation home and abroad. If either of you or your family or friends would like to discuss TBI w/ me please feel free. You can reach me at davy4life@gmail.com.

I look forward to assisting those who in some way shape or form have experienced the unfortunate affects of dealing with TBI.

Congratulations,Davy!! Your work to educate yourself is very impressive, particularly in light of your TBI. I also have a history of TBI but have not finished college. Best of luck with your career!Ithink your goal is wonderful.
