This isn't my story but I'll tell you anyway. My boyfriend came back from Iraq and he seemed to be doing OK. He has extreme back pain and suffers from PTSD. That's OK. We can handle that. What worries me is the Traumatic Brain Injury. If we had help from the Army that would be one thing but they don't seem to care that he is suffering and getting worse. In a few months this brave strong and competent man went from being able to stand still to shaking constantly. First the tremors started in his hands, then they moved to his legs, and now they're in his head. His whole body will shake now. He told me "Kathleen, I used to have so many words. Now when I talk I know the things I want to say but I can't remember how to say them." The worst part is the Army has pretty much told him he is faking. While they're avoiding helping him he is getting worse. Is there anything to be done?
