Remind.org Blog
Welcome
June 07, 2008
Welcome to ReMIND.org, the new website of the Bob Woodruff Family Foundation. We hope you find the site to be informative and supportive as we help our most honorable citizens and their families overcome injuries sustained in combat.
ReMIND.org was designed with three purposes in mind:
To remind our Nation that 1.64 million have served in harm's way in Iraq and Afghanistan. To remind us all that over 31,000 service members have been injured and that many have sustained wounds that cannot be seen. *To remind us all that we can support our troops with actions to help them successfully reintegrate back home.
We intend to do this by:
Being an invaluable resource hub for easy access to the latest studies, articles, videos and links relevant to the issues concerning our injured troops. Hosting an online meeting place for a positive and hopeful community of veterans, military family members, health care professionals, military personnel, policy makers and concerned citizens who can help our wounded troops successfully integrate back into society. *Becoming an effective fundraising tool that directly supports our injured service members throughout our entire Nation.
This is a very exciting time for us all. We invite you to browse the rest of the site, leave a comment or picture in our Connect center, look through the photos in our Gallery, educate yourself on today's signature injury affecting most of our wounded troops, scroll through our Reminders section for some eye-opening stats, and consider donating to this most important cause.
We'd like to also thank all of you for your kind thoughts, prayers and letters extended to our entire family during my lengthy recovery. It is our hope that our wounded troops and their families will always feel the same support and encouragement, and will be given the opportunities to succeed beyond their time in service.
Sincerely, Bob and Lee Woodruff
